7 New Omicron Cases In Mumbai Today; Tally stands at 28

Maharashtra today logged eight additional instances of Omicron with seven being accounted for from Mumbai and one from the metropolitan’s edges – Vasai Virar. Not even one of them has any set of experiences of worldwide travel.

With these new instances of the strain that has set off a worldwide alert, the state’s all out Omicron count presently remains at 28 and India’s at 57.

Of the 28 cases in Maharashtra, 12 are from Mumbai, 10 from Pimpri Chinchwad, two from Pune Municipal Corporation, and one each from Kalyan Dombivali, Nagpur, Latur, and Vasai Virar.

While there’s no institutional quarantine for travelers from “in danger” countries, they should go through a RT-PCR test at the air terminal paid for by them, the new principles said.

Homegrown travelers should give verification of twofold immunization or negative report of a RT-PCR test directed inside 72 hours of loading onto the flight.
