AIMRA successfully organizes biggest nationwide blood donation drive, Rourkela joins in

On 17^th June 2022, All India Mobile Retailers Association (AIMRA) organized a nationwide blood donation drive at 250-plus camps across India, quite successfully. The drive, organized in remembrance of Late Bhavesh Solanki (National General Secretary), saw huge participation at all camps. This was possible due to the whole-hearted dedication of AIMRA’s leaders and retailers for this noble cause. This year AIMRA, all the camps put together, was able to collect 20,000-plus pints of blood in a single day; a commendable effort to say the least. The figure was 10,000 pints the previous year.

Rourkela too was not far behind in contributing to this great cause. The major mobile retailers of Rourkela came together to set up a blood donation camp at Guru Nanak Public School, Sector -21 on 17^th June. Rourkela MLA Shri Sarada Prasad Nayak graced the occasion and praised the efforts of AIMRA and the local mobile retailers.

This nationwide blood donation drive was organized in collaboration with licensed blood banks like Indian Red Cross Society, Lions Club, Rotary Club, Govt. & Pvt. hospitals and several NGOs. The awareness campaign for the drive received great support from film and television celebrities, sportspersons, politicians, bureaucrats and many other wonderful souls from across the country.

A major boost to the success of this nationwide drive came from AIMRA stalwarts – Shri Kailash Lakhyani, Chairman; Shri Arvinder Khurana, National President; Shri Vibhooti Prasad, Senior Vice President and Shri Navneet Pathak, Joint General Secretary, who unanimously announced that this drive will be a recurring event on every 17^th June. It would be a fitting tribute to a great soul like Late Bhavesh Solanki.
