On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that he would be there for the January 22, 2024, opening of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
The PM was invited by the office bearers of Shri Ram Janma Bhoomi Tirtha Kshetra, who went alongside religious leaders. He lay the foundation stone for the Ram temple on August 5, 2020.
The PM took to X to express his happiness after accepting the invitation and said, “I feel very blessed. It is my good fortune that in my lifetime, I will witness this historic occasion.”
For the consecration ceremony, the foundation intends to invite more than 4,000 Hindu religious leaders representing 136 Sanatana traditions.
Ram Mandir will be located on 2.77 acres in the region. Temples dedicated to Shiva, the goddesses Annapurna and Bhagwati, Ganesha, Hanuman, and Surya (the sun) will all be located within the complex housing the Ram temple.
