On Monday, Justice Jamshed Burjor Pardiwala and Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia took oath as judges of the Supreme Court of India, after they were appointed by the Honourable President on May 7. With their induction, the sanctioned judicial strength of the court is now complete as lately it was working with two vacancies.

The oath of the constitutional office was read out to the new judges by CJI N. V. Raman. The ceremony, which was attended by the other SC judges, was held at the Supreme Court additional building complex auditorium.

With the inclusion of Justices Dhulia and Pardiwala, a total of 11 judges have been appointed to the SC since August 2021, a feat that has been made possible by the Ramana Collegium.
