Two youths succumbed to death after drowning in the Koel River on Tuesday afternoon, in the Kopasingha village under Jareikela area. Through initial investigation, it has been ascertained that both the boys were living in Kolkata and had come to the village to attend their brother’s wedding. While one youth has been identified as the groom’s younger brother, the other is their maternal uncle’s son.
As per reports, on Tuesday afternoon at about 1 pm, both of them went to the river to take bath but unfortunately both drowned. The bodies have not been recovered yet. The locals along with the fire brigade team were trying to rescue the bodies, but could not find it till evening. The entire operation will be continued again on Wednesday.
After hearing the death of these two youths, the family members are in shock and have not been able to come in terms with it.
